My STEM Teacher Training Journey

When I started the STEM.org Certified™ Teacher Training Program in September 2023, I had no idea how much it would transform the way I teach and think as an educator. Thanks to the generous support of our founder, Mr. Xavier Jude, I had the opportunity to complete this 3-month journey and proudly received my certification in December.

This wasn’t just another online course—it was a complete eye-opener. I learned not only about STEM content, but also about how different types of children learn, and how we as teachers can better support them. The course focused on real-world applications, hands-on teaching, and classroom-ready strategies that helped me truly understand how to bring Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to life for young learners.

One of the biggest highlights for me was the capstone project. It taught me the core of lesson planning in a way I hadn’t experienced before—practical, thoughtful, and truly student-centered. I also appreciated how the program developed my understanding of 21st-century skills like critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.

Through this training, I’ve become more confident, curious, and capable as a STEM educator. It reminded me that teaching is not just about delivering content, but about nurturing future thinkers, builders, and problem-solvers.

I’m deeply grateful for this experience and I would wholeheartedly recommend the program to any educator looking to grow. It’s been an incredibly meaningful part of my teaching journey.
